What a week! I am just getting on my feet after having my gall bladder removed last week. My little man was supposed to have his tonsils out this week, but between my surgery and his intense t-ball schedule, we decided to postpone it until July. It’ll be the perfect time to stay indoors for the week, since July gets pretty hot in these parts. The doctors told me, and I quote, the recovery “won’t be pretty.” This week we did manage to create an amazing redneck swimming pool out of a stock tank and pool filter. The kids are loving it!
Here are a few more things that are making us happy this week.
This Baby Pudu – a pudu is like a tiny adorable deer – born at the Queens Zoo. It’s like a deer/puppy mashup. This is the stuff dreams are made of!
Zoodles! We’re about to have zucchinis coming out of our ears around here, and I cannot wait to
trick my family with try this recipe.
Instagram Food Pics are about to get a whole lot more depressing. Google’s developing technology to calculate the calories of food in a PHOTO. What the what?! “…the AI technology will analyse the depth of pixels in an image and employ ‘sophisticated deep-learning algorithms to judge the size and shape of a foodstuff.'” I don’t know whether to use the confused emoji or the sad emoji right now.
Move over, Mr. Freeze. This list of gourmet popsicles is going to blow ya mind. I’m making the 2-ingredient Vietnamese Iced Coffee Popsicles immediately. Who knew?
Rhubarb season is in full effect – so why not try a rhubarb slushie? Better yet, add some vodka and make it a rhubarb lushie. Yum!
Have a great week!
